As a busy working mom I became overwhelmed in a house over run with toys. Toys my children played with for a few weeks, became bored with and never touched again. After repeating this too many times, I decided to create The Village Toy Share to help families reduce their household clutter and improve their children's enjoyment with toys.
Our mission is to keep children engaged in their toys for longer periods of time by always having new ones to play with. Subscribing to the Village Toy Share is a sustainable and environmentally friendly option that minimizes the need for excess packaging from new toys while reducing the waste from disposing of your unwanted toys after your children are done with them.
The Process
We believe that great products shouldn't be hard to find. At the Village Toy Share, we've searched far and wide for fabulous products your kids will love. Once you subscribe to the Village Toy Share you will receive your toys from the selected age category each month. At the end of your month return the toys and get new ones for the next month. We know that families are busy so we want to make it easy for you. You can opt to personally pick up your toy packages or we can deliver them to your door.
Cleaning
As a mom and Registered Nurse I know how important cleanliness and sanitization of our toys is. We try to avoid any toys with cloth or material that can not throughly washed to prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses. We use medical grade solutions and ultrasonic cleaners to ensure every toy is clean and free of bacteria. The products and methods we use are the same as your dentist and doctor use, and are safe for children. Our cleaning products kill many common viruses and bacteria including coronavirus, influenza, and many more.

Our Toys and Equipment
We research trends and toys to ensure we are providing toys to both engage and educate your children. Each toy is also tested by our children prior to being placed in the library rotation.
Examples of brands we carry include; PlanToys, Melissa & Doug, LeapFrog, Hape, Baby Einstein, Hot Wheels, Fisher Price, Lego, K'Nex, V-Tech, Hasbro, Barbie, Playmobil, Crocodile Creek, Usborne and many more! All toys are inspected every time they are returned, and monitored for safety recalls.
Damaged or Lost Toys/Equipment
Sometimes children misplace pieces or they get mixed in with other sets, or can sometimes be more like bulldozers than hummingbirds. We get it, we are parents too.
If the piece is not critical to the toys function you will only be charged a small "missing pieces" fee. If critical pieces are missing or broken, we try to replace them from our stock of spare parts using a percent of the original toy value. If the toy is unusable when returned, you will be charged the full original purchase value of the toy.
Instructions are included with all equipment and we are available if you have any questions about how to set up and use the toys.
